I read the previous books in this series and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one- it did not disappoint. I've never read anything like these books, the main character is fantastically unique, and the supporting characters are also phenomenal. I really want to hang out with these guys lol. The characters are so real, their strengths and vulnerabilities make them very relatable, yet they are just way cooler then you and I lol. The Fey series has everything you could want- action, drama, good vs evil, incredible relationships and unique but relatable characters. I highly recommend this book, but please read the other one's before hand, you'll be glad you did.Now I'm anxiously awaiting the next one!! (God I hope there's a next one...)

Like the big faced beautiful yellow sunflower, there is always light at the end of the tunnel leading you into the next. Characters are well rounded and delightful especially the young children .....ensuring there is light and laughter ...enjoy a few giggles and smiles along the road.
I so LOVE this series and cannot keep myself stocked in the books! I wish Claudia could write them FASTER! The Fey is an interesting character I would not want to have on the side of my enemy.
I have finished this book and decided I had to read it again. I bought it on 2/29/2012 and then decided to read the whole series again before reading this current one.
I LOVE Alex and all her friends. Claudia Hall Christian has come up with a fabalous series. I also love the way she has entertwined Alex the Fey with the Denver Cereal series. It's Genius!!!
I cannot wait to read the next part of this series!!!!
An exciting read if you have any experience with the confusion of military operations. Although it might appear disjointed it does carry the storyline forward. I look forward to more in this series,
The mystery portion is well handled and begs to be discovered.
Despite the mixed reviews the other 3 books in this series got I kept reading because even with all the items in the story that had me pulling out my hair, the plot line kept me glued to the book and wanting to know what happened next. I was very excited when I saw the fourth installment out and couldn't wait to see where the gang would end up. I am only ¼ of way into the book and I am having to force myself to keep reading. Please, please, please find a new editor. I have lost count of the number of times I have had to go back and reread a part because it makes no sense or you contradict what you wrote a paragraph above.
I know this is a work of fiction but the plausibility of some of the things is just off the charts. The other problem I have with this one is the grandiosity that you have bestowed on the fey team. I get it, they are awesome, and all the soldiers love them, but come on. Almost the whole first part of the book is devoted to that. Where is grit of the other 3 books?
Also, as a former military person my self, enough with her snuggling with the rest of team, it makes me really not like the book. I would respect her a lot more if she was able to just be tough around her team and mushy with her husband. Not all females out in the field have to cuddle with their team mates to get by.
I really want to love this book like I did the other 3 but at this point I don't even know if I will be able to finish it.
I loved this series. Once I started to read, I could not put the book down. I felt that I knew the characters so well and they inspired me to be stronger and live my life in a more exciting way. I love the fact that the Fey is a woman, who has a coffee addiction, and that she cries and is comforted without it making her a weaker character in any form. I also like the way that she insists people treat their families, as it is inspirational. What will happen next now that Alex and John have adopted children - will she continue being the Fey.
I did find it hard to work out which book was the next to read, so once I worked it out, I made a list so that I could read them in the correct order.

When I downloaded the first book of the "Alex the Fey" series I expected a thriller, a page-turner that would keep me up half the night - and it didn't disappoint. What I didn't expect was a series of books that are all EMPOWERING. I read every book in the series back-to-back because I fell in love with the characters and the way they overcame obstacles by finding reserves of strength not only within themselves, but in their relationships with family and friends. I read these the first time at a point in my life when I was in terrible pain, and felt weak and alone. I finished the series ready to turn my life around. Great author - I'm looking forward to reading more!
